Enhance Your Smile with Cosmetic Dentistry
Although crowns are typically considered a restorative treatment, they can also enhance the appearance of your teeth. If you have a misshapen, intrinsically stained, or misaligned tooth, a crown can cover these flaws, giving you a rejuvenated smile. Your cosmetic dentist, Dr. Toni Sartini, provides beautiful all-ceramic crowns at her practice. Ceramic comes in a range of shades, and your dentist will select the color that looks best matches your surrounding teeth. Unlike porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns, all-ceramic crowns will not change color with age. With proper care, these tooth-colored crowns can last for decades.
Porcelain veneers can correct a wide array of cosmetic imperfections with a single treatment. After taking impressions and photos of your teeth, Dr. Sartini will send them to a dental lab, where technicians will custom-create thin shells of porcelain that match the color and shape of your teeth. Once they are complete, you will return to the dentist who will adhere the shells to the front surface of your teeth. Veneers can effectively conceal chips, cracks, and stains to give your smile a uniformly dazzling appearance. Because our high-quality porcelain interacts with light much like real dental enamel, these restorations are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth.
Staining and discoloration can significantly affect the appearance of otherwise healthy teeth. To enhance the natural beauty of your smile, Dr. Sartini is proud to offer both in-office and at-home whitening options. During our office treatments, Dr. Sartini or your dental hygienist will apply a whitening gel to your teeth, which will chemically break apart surface stains. If you opt for a home-based treatment, you will be given custom-created whitening trays that are optimally comfortable. Whenever is most convenient, you will fill the trays with whitening gel and wear them in the comfort of your own home. Dr. Sartini also offers desensitizing treatments to guard against sensitivity.
Laser Gum Reshaping
Disproportionately large gums or an uneven gum line can make you unhappy with your smile, and less likely to share it with others. Gum reshaping can even out your gum line to create a pleasing frame for your teeth. During this treatment, Dr. Sartini will remove excess gum tissue with a laser that actually seals blood vessels as it treats tissue. With this advanced technology, patients can experience very little inflammation or irritation. Laser gum reshaping can make your smile look bigger and brighter, and is often combined with veneers or other procedures for truly outstanding cosmetic results.
If you have crooked teeth or a misaligned bite but are not ready to commit to traditional metal braces, clear aligners may be the solution for you. After taking pictures and impressions of your teeth, Dr. Sartini will provide you with a succession of personalized aligner trays, which will fit securely and comfortably over your teeth. These trays will exert a gentle pressure to align your teeth, and in some cases, make minor adjustments to your bite. Patients typically switch to a new tray every two weeks, with treatment lasting about a year. These trays are so discreet, most people will not even realize you are wearing them!
Full Mouth Smile Design
Dr. Sartini works closely with her patients to understand their unique dental goals. She will create a unique full mouth smile design plan for you that works within your goals, schedule, and budget. For patients missing several or all of their teeth, Dr. Sartini will create dentures that are the best size, shape, and color for each patient’s mouth. She also evaluates the way restorations will affect a patient’s facial structure.
